Happiness is combining my love of photography, nature and words. These days, I’m feeling so thankful for the beauty that surrounds me and for the respite it offers. Here’s hoping that your summer days are also filled with natural wonders and time to appreciate them.

These are so beautiful. I get so much joy from your photography and love for combining with good writing. Ahhhhhh, summer. Time to refresh! I’m pretty sure Dragonfly Days is my favorite…but it could change.

I started to think I would comment on the dragonfly pic & poem, but then I saw the egret, but, but, then the kingfisher. I spent a lot of time on the beach watching ibises & egrets, enchanting! As are your poems, Molly. You are lucky to have such beauty so close. “cloud walks in rosy shadows” – wow!

Thanks, Linda. Bird watching is addictive, isn’t it? I was so excited the other day to see a siege of herons fly by. (I had to look up that collective noun!) I feel fortunate when I see one– six at a time was a real treat!

These are beautiful, Molly. I thought the egret one was my favourite – but I don’t know if I can really pick a fave! That cloud walk in rosy shadows is gorgeous. But so too are crystal clear memories of missed shots. And dragonfly days… Lovely!

Dragon fly days! Love them. Playing pickleball last Sunday morning, we saw a legion of dragon flies hopefully filling their gullets with mosquitoes.

I enjoy watching the swallows gorge on mosquitoes as well. Both dragonflies and swallows are fabulous deadly flying aerialists!

I think what amazes me most about your photography, Molly, is that you always seem to be in the right place at the right time! What’s more, you seem to capture poems as effortlessly as you capture photographs.
