Thanks for sharing this. I didn’t get to read it when you posted but I think today was a better day for it anyway – I just spent two days with my best friend from high school and my family just finished our annual large family gathering (I have 6 siblings acquired in various ways. Keeping our families in touch is a conscious effort.) I loved the phrase “the shorthand of a long friendship” and I was moved by the side by side photos of the girls. So much in this post that makes me grateful for my own special moments.

Somehow being at the beach heightens the experience for me. The two photos of our girls gets me every time! I hope you enjoyed your time with friends and family.
