dew anoints the dragonfly
in its resting place
Queen Anne’s lace as sepulcher
summer’s last embrace

Wow, that image is just amazing, magical, really. And you captured the dewy dragonfly in its beautiful resting place to extend the beauty of its life.

That simple rhyme is just right, place, embrace. I think you could build a book of photos and poems. Just saying (for the umpteenth time).

This small poem and photo say so much about the beauty the world offers when we take time to notice. For me, today, it was a possum mama with a too-big baby still on her back, and jewel weed seeds exploding in my palm.

Molly, I literally gasped when I saw this photo. It is stunning and the words summer, sepulcher, and dragonfly all in a short verse is superb. Wow, you sure have a spot on post for this week.

Molly, I am late to making rounds and happy I found your beautiful photo and small poem. Your words were carefully chosen as a statement of summer’s end. Would you be interested in showcasing your work on my Destination: Summer’s End Padlet?

Molly, both the photo and the poem are truly stunning. You captured a gorgeous, melancholy moment in nature (and in our human nature.) Such delicate and moving imagery.
