Spring is Coming! Spring?
What I planned to post this morning:
purple crocuses
amidst damp and dun grass
promise unfolding
What I saw outside the windows this morning:
Light creeps up
a sudden dawning–
It snowed last night!

Time to rethink today’s shoe choice…

Oh no! I like the crocuses and the idea of a cute pair of flats, not boots! March snow is a little less welcome than those first winter storms!

I always figure these little snowfalls will be gone quickly. It was hard to stay sanguine though, with windchills at around 13˚F at recess this morning. I’m still chilled!

I know! I was shocked too! What do I even wear today as I’ve gone all spring mode! I love you showed the contrast with the photos!

It’s brutal out there today! I’d only gotten as far as naked ankles, but quickly rethought that choice. Back to boots for the time being!

Are the crocuses always first? They are beautiful. So is the dusting of snow. We got a snippet of cold air passing through, too.

They are both beautiful–thanks for reminding me 🙂 And yes, crocuses are always the first at our house. How cold is cold for you? We’re quite cold right now with brutal wind chill.

Cold for us, I’m ashamed to say, is 50’s. This afternoon it was pouring rain at dismissal and we were all cold and wet.

We are also in the thick of a winter rebound…not fun. But I do love the words of promise.

It’s quite cold here today, and there’s more snow in the forecast for the weekend, but not much. We’ll just appreciate spring more when it gets here!

Oh brrr… I had the opposite experience (well, maybe not opposite considering that snow was not in the equation) as I arrived in 85 degrees Palm Springs for a conference today! No sweater needed…even into the night.

Ohhh I feel your pain! Today was the last day of school before spring break, and it snowed. All. DAY.
Solidarity to you!
