I’m late today, but that seems to be the case with more frequency lately. I blame Autumn. Time and again, her drama stops me in my tracks. Case in point: along the river on my commute yesterday morning:
I mean, how can you not stop for that!?
Or the day before, in the same spot, when sunrise was just licking the tops of the trees and the river mist was doing its thing:

At any rate, I’ve been having loads of fun filling up my cup with autumn’s bounty. Then, I have the additional joy of creating image poems. Here are a few recent ones:

Here’s hoping that your autumn is also filled with blessings! This week’s Poetry Friday is hosted by Jama Rattigan at Jama’s Alphabet Soup. Be sure to stop by and fill your bucket with some poetry!

Keep blaming Autumn and sharing your distractions! GORGEOUS!!
All three poems are winners, but that hawk who “telegraphs intent”…WOW.

Oh, Molly! I can tell you are smitten…and I am too. Beautiful peoming with the hawk’s intent and the lipstick of geraniums. The way you find and see beauty is one of the best things for me to catch up with on weekends. Go ahead, be late. I’ll wait!

Wow — gorgeous photos and fabulous poems. Love them all. Autumn is the best distraction and “excuse” for being late. 🙂

Molly, thank you for the stroll through Autumn in Maine. I can’t stop looking at the first two photos of nature’s beauty. You are a marvelous photographer and word catcher. Would you please add as many of your works to my padlet, especially the first photo of Autumn in Maine? You can check out the poets who already added their work.
