I always enjoy interweaving my photographs and writing, and lately, I’ve been playing around with image poems again. For me, they are the perfect format for a quick dip into poetry, when the return to the classroom has taken a voracious bite out of my available writing time.

I love the “sun-kindled spotlight” and “gilded ferns”, the just right imagery for your amazing images. The play of light is so intriguing.

Oh, these photos are gorgeous. “Sun-kindled spotlight” is the perfect expression of that dappled beauty. Also love “gilded ferns.” And “autumn in the wings” captures that feeling that breezes by me at this time of year, grabbing my attention, full of hint and promise.

I never tire of your photos, Molly, extraordinary. I guess it is time to write “autumn in the wings”. We had high heat this week, 99 yesterday, & now it’s dropped to the 60’s. I’m ready for cooler but also love my hydrangeas every year and I love your haiku for them!

Wow, Linda! That’s quite the roller coaster temperature ride! I’ve gotten so much pleasure out of my hydrangea this year–it’s fun to think of you simultaneously enjoying yours. My sister in SC laments that she can’t grow them.

Thanks, Jone. I was sitting at my desk, working, and happened to look up to see the spot-lighted hydrangea. I immediately dropped everything to go try to capture that light.

All lovely, the haikus and imagery. I love the “hydrangea’s swan song” I can see the hydrangea swan drifting through the water… And you’ve captured that last dash of wonderfully special light that comes out just before sunset, thanks Molly!
